Why was Carling station renamed Dows Lake station?
Short answer
According to Wikipedia, Carling Station was renamed Dows Lake Station when O-Train Line 2 reopened in January 2025, after several years of construction work. The lake is about 300 metres from the station.

OC Transpo introduced the O-Train in 2001, and Line 2 is the only user of the rail tunnel near the lake.
